  • Possesses conflict resolution, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

This position may require at least 7 years of experience.

7. IT Director

An IT director is the head of IT of a company and is responsible for the leadership and direction of the IT function and its staff. They will have to have a thorough understanding of the company, including its business strategy and key business drivers.

The IT director will determine and develop the IT vision, objectives, and ways of spending the budget. The director is also responsible for the staff of the department, as well as overseeing and developing the IT staff.

Skills Needed in an IT Director

The IT director needs to have a large amount of experience, especially in a management capacity. The following skillset is required for this role:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure
  • High level of interpersonal skills and networking
  • The ability to delegate tasks and manage teams

This position will need more or less about 10 years of experience.
